From your initial contact, Wishmoulds will provide a detailed
interactive quote complete with a Moldflow Analysis and DFM Design
for Manufacturability. Modify quantities, materials surface

Upon approval, your files are sent to our Mold Design department
where we begin creating your tooling off of the exact dimensions of
your part. Years of experience has allowed us to refine our process
and develop long-lasting, precision tooling for the injection
molding process ensuring you consistent manufacturing and high
quality precision parts.
Once your mold design is finalized it is sent to our precision CNC
department where our 3, 4, & 5 - axis machines begin the
milling process of your tool. Using high quality aluminum blocks
and an exacting machining process enables us to quickly and
efficiently create your custom tooling. The mold is complete only
when detailed inspections confirm that your tooling captures every
last detail of your custom plastic parts.
Your Mold is complete and ready for production! Your tool is
installed in one of our all electric injection molding machines and
your chosen material is loaded in the hopper. The Process Engines
takes over quickly analyzing key components withing the injection
molding process to ensure the most consitent and stress free
production of your custom parts.

More about PEEK Material
Wishmoulds works with a wide variety of materials in our injection
molding processes. One of the most useful, versatile and popular of
the injection molding resins we use is PEEK (polyether ether
ketone). This unique thermoplastic is ideal for medical
applications, and is well suited to a number of other uses as well.
PEEK exhibits superb mechanical properties, and is highly resistant
to chemicals and thermal degradation, which makes it very desirable
for many plastic injection moldings. It holds up well against high
temperatures and long-term liquid submersion, and is very durable
in harsh environments. PEEK makes an excellent reinforcement
material, providing great tensile strength and low weight.
Though it is a very popular engineering material for injection
molding, PEEK is also very difficult to work with. It must be
heated to very high temperatures, temperatures at or above the
highest range of most injection molding machines. Stack Plastics
has the advanced machinery needed to work with PEEK in all our
plastic injection molding processes. Our expertise in injection
molding PEEK for medical devices and other applications is
PEEK melts at a relatively high temperature (343 °C / 649.4 °F)
compared to most other thermoplastics. In the range of its melting
temperature it can be processed usinginjection moulding or extrusion methods. A San Francisco company demonstrated for the first time
the technical possibility of processing granular PEEK into filament
form and 3D printing parts from the filament material using fused deposition modeling – FDM (or fused filament fabrication – FFF) technology. In January
2016 a German startup, located in Karlsruhe, presented a PEEK
filament for producing medical devices up to class IIa. With this new filament, it is possible to use the FFF method for different medical applications like dentures.
In its solid state PEEK is readily machinable, for example, by (CNC) milling machines and is commonly used to produce high-quality plastic parts that
are thermostable and both electrically and thermally insulating.
PEEK is often considered a high-endengineering plastic, such as delrin, PTFE or nylon.
